Amsterdam recreation will surprise and delight every day of your vacation. Admittedly, outdoor recreation lovers will want to visit in the summer months for the mild temperatures and plenty of sun. The locals take to the parks for biking, skating, jogging, and relaxing in the grass, the most popular spot being Vondelpark in the heart of the city. Horseback riding facilities are also very busy during this time of year. Others head to the city's great golf courses and tennis courts, many of which are for public use. For those opting for a visit during the winter months, great recreation can be found out of the cold and a under a roof. Indoor fun is big with the Dutch, and bowling is an all time favorite.
